Barnshaw Pet Crematorium, established by Diane and Chris Puxted to provide a friendly and prompt service for those requiring an individual cremation of their domestic pet.
The business is run and managed from our family home located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Weald of Kent on the outskirts of Tenterden.
The property includes the unique boundary junction of Tenterden, Benenden and Biddenden and has been known as Boundary Farm for many years. Previously the property was named Barnshaw Bungalow after the parcel of woodland, known as Barnshaw Wood, that lies to the south.
Both of our family’s roots are embedded within the counties of Kent and East Sussex and we feel extremely fortunate to have such good access into these two unique counties.
The home has been in the family since 1975 and we have lived here since 2004 when we relocated with our three young children to look after grandfather.
We have grown up twins, Matthew & Laura. Laura now lives and works in East Sussex and Matt has recently relocated from Berkshire back to Kent with his fiance Kat who now assists us with running our business. Anna, our eldest daughter has learning difficulties and requires one to one care. Running this business from home allows us to deliver a first-class service whilst looking after Anna’s specific needs.
Animals have always been a huge part of our lives and we have had the privilege of owning pets from hamsters to horses! We currently have four Labradors, Nancy, Ruby, Maisie & Kizzy, two horses, Joe & Cash, a parrot called Eric, a small flock of sheep and several doves. We aim to provide, wherever possible, a seven day a week service delivered by pet owners for pet owners. Knowing how upsetting it is to lose a pet we endeavour to take away some of the anguish of your loss by being as flexible as possible and so are happy to discuss specific needs, such as accompanying your pet to your vets for euthanasia.
